SAYING farewell to her customers after 29 years of trading will be tough for one business owner from Market Deeping.
Sandy Tong, who runs clothes shop Dynasty in Market Place, will close for good on April 7.
She said: “I will be making my exit with pride, joy and a mixture of sadness but it’s been a wonderful experience I have enjoyed and I have amazing memories.
“It’s something I never expected to happen in my life. I always say if you want to do it and have the determination to do it, then do it.”
Mrs Tong moved to Market Deeping from Hong Kong with no experience of running a business.
She said she picked up the trade as she went along and she didn’t even know where to buy her clothes from when she first started. She said “hard work” made Dynasty a success.
Mrs Tong added: “All of my customers have become my friends. It’s very painful to make this decision but I have to go one day.”
She now hopes to share her experiences of running a business to help teach sixth form students.
