FORMER Spalding care home Halmer Grange has been put up for sale.
The 25-bedroom property in Grange Drive has been placed on the open market with an asking price of £400,000 because it is “no longer required” by Lincolnshire County Council.
The building has been boarded up since closing in September.
Jim Hogg, the county council’s head of strategic asset management, said: “As the building is no longer required by the county council, we are now looking to ensure we obtain best value for money for the taxpayer. It has therefore been placed on the open market.”
The home was described as “old and outdated” by the county council following a review of care services.
