Liam Forsyth, from Crowland, is one of four Spalding Grammar School students who gained two A*s and an A.
The 18-year-old has landed a place at Durham University to study history and is considering teaching as a possible future career.
Liam said: “History is something that interested me both at GCSE and at A-level and teaching is good for history as well.”
He’s attended the grammar school since Year 7.
On Thursday he said: “I knew I had got into University at about 8.20am when I checked UCAS.”
