Other University Academy Holbeach students who did well in their GCSEs included Abbie Killiam, who achieved five As and six Bs and told the Free Press: “I am quite impressed with myself. I worked very hard for them.”
George Asquith was “a little disappointed” with his haul of one A*, three As and six Bs, and is now off to Spalding High School to take A-levels in maths, further maths, physics and French.
Adele Martin, however, was delighted with her two A*s, one A and three Bs and is looking forward to tackling a diploma in art next.
Hannah Ward was “really chuffed” with her three As and seven Bs but added: “It’s weird how I did better in some subjects I didn’t expect too – such as Spanish.”
Lucy Pitts achieved one A and an incredible 11 Bs and will now take A-levels in criminology, sociology, psychiatry and law as she aims for a profession along the lines of psychiatry.
“I am quite happy with my results. I worked very hard for them,” she said.
Katie Coyne was “chuffed and proud” with her three As and eight Bs: “I would have liked some A*s... but As are good.”
Amelia Aldrich was “very pleased” with her six As and four Bs and is now off to study animal management in Stamford.
Brothers Carl and Sean Ramage celebrated two A*s and eight As and three As and two Bs respectively.
Carl modestly said his results were “pretty good” and Sean was pleased to get good results in the subjects he is taking A-levels in.
Emma Butcher did better than she expected in gaining seven As and five Bs and said: “I am very pleased. I expected more Bs.”
