Several students will be swapping life at Sir John Gleed School for further studies in Spalding after success in their GCSE exams.
Friends Amy Reeves and Ashleigh Darnes, both 16 and from Spalding, will be comparing notes at Spalding Grammar School sixth form when they start A-level studies there in September.
Amy is planning to study business, economics, English literature and maths after gaining two A*s, an A, two Bs and two Cs at GCSE level.
She said: “The waiting was awful but my results were better than I expected.
“I’ve had to push myself a lot to work harded, especially over the last year, and now I’m going to a party to celebrate.”
Ashleigh said: “It was really hard waiting for my results but I’ve done better than I thought I would.”
