Children at St Norbert’s Primary School, Spalding, used their fingers, thumbs and toes to keep a count for the NSPCC.

The school staged a Number Day packed with fun activities to raise money for the children’s charity.

Activities included a sponsored baking session, number-themed rapping exercises and a tricky quizathon for teachers.

There was also a number hunt around school, Who Wants to be a Mathionnaire game and a Fill the Digits project where pupils gave their spare change to NSPCC projects.

Almost £200 was raised for the NSPCC by the school and headteacher Louise Yarnell said: “The children worked so hard on our fun-packed and exciting Number Day.

“They were thoroughly engaged about the whole experience and showed great commitment and enthusiasm throughout the day.”
