Police arrested a man three times the drink-drive limit following a tip-off he was “swerving all over the road”.
Another driver followed Edward Swatiek (49) on West End Road, Wyberton, on December 7.
Prosecutor Ruth Snowdin told magistrates Swatiek had 106 microgrammes of alcohol in breath – the legal limit is 35mcgs.
Swatiek, formerly of Ralphs Lane, Frampton West, and now of Norfolk Street, Boston, was banned for 26 months, fined £300 and must pay £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge. He can cut his ban by six months if he completes a rehabilitation course.
Solicitor Phillipa Chatterton said Swatiek, who pleaded guilty, felt ill and drove home to pick up blood pressure tablets.
