Police divers combed several stretches of water in Surfleet as part of an ongoing missing person’s case from the 1980s.
Both Surfleet Reservoir and Surfleet Seas End were checked in connection with the case of Trevor Clay who went missing from his home in Boston in July 1987.
A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: “For some months, the Regional Review Team has been examining an historic missing person case involving the disappearance of Trevor Clay from his home in Boston.
“As part of the review, a number of areas in South Holland will be revisited with the use of Lincolnshire Police’s Underwater Search Unit, as well as other specialists to conduct a sonar survey of the river bed at Surfleet Seas End.”
