SPALDING’S Thomas Cook branch will not be among the 200 stores being considered for closure.
The travel firm has confirmed the branch will not be affected by the nationwide review of its business operation.
Thomas Cook bosses announced last week they intend to close 200 of the company’s UK branches over the next two years after reporting losses of £398million for the year to the end of September.
Staff at 115 branches were told their fate last week, resulting in the loss of 661 jobs.
Thomas Cook blamed unrest in Egypt and Tunisia, along with flooding in Thailand, for the fall in holiday sales.
