Public loos at Sutton Bridge may be lost unless vandals stop wrecking them.
The warning came from parish council chairman John Grimwood, who says the toilets have been closed due to vandalism about four times in the last few months, and a water pipe had been “kicked off” in the latest incident. He told the parish council: “Of course we can’t put CCTV in the toilets – it’s a matter of catching the people who have done it.
“If it continues, there’s a chance we may lose our public toilet facilities.”
The loos are run by South Holland District and form part of The Curlew Centre, in Bridge Road, but the only entrance is from the car park. The toilets are currently closed for repairs.
