Co-op pharmacies in South Holland are safe, despite an announcement yesterday that the company was selling many of its farms and looking at offloading its chemists.
Spokesman for Lincolnshire Co-op Emma Snedden said: “Lincolnshire Co-op and The Co-operative Group are separate businesses, run independently of each other.
“Therefore, the group’s recent announcement regarding the options for the future of its pharmacies has no impact on Lincolnshire Co-op’s pharmacy business.
“We run 48 pharmacies across our trading area, including a new branch in Grantham which opened last year.
“Our outlets are a popular place to get health advice and pick up prescriptions and we dispensed over 4.8m in 2012/13.”
Locally, Lincolnshire Co-op owns Donington Pharmacy, Holbeach Pharmacy, Swineshead Pharmacy and Kirton Pharmacy.
