ORGANISERS of an NHS-backed exercise group in Sutton Bridge are appealing for more people to join so the fledgling class doesn’t have to fold.
Vitality project manager Louise Thompson says the group focuses on “physiotherapy-based movement” for the over-60s and younger people who have had medical problems.
Mrs Thompson said the Sutton Bridge class has been going for a few weeks, but has so far attracted only about ten people to its 10am-11am Thursday sessions at The Curlew Centre and may close unless more people come forward.
She said: “We really need 15 to make it worthwhile.”
Mrs Thompson said demand for the classes elsewhere is quite strong and Sutton Bridge could lose out if another area has 25 people waiting for a class.
Sessions are subsidised by the NHS and participants pay £2.50 for an hour’s exercise and refreshments afterwards.
