CONSISTENTLY outstanding GCSE and A level achievements within Spalding High School’s art and technology departments was celebrated on Tuesday.
Staff and students involved in the subjects of art and technology, food, product design and textiles mounted an exhibition of work, something that has become an annual event in the school calendar.
Pupils, family and friends were invited to view what head of textiles and Key Stage 3 technology co-ordinator Vivienne Flowers called “the superb creative achievements and hard work” demonstrated by the older students, while year ten food students used the evening as a chance to create new ideas for their coursework.
Mrs Flowers added: “The evening also gave parents the opportunity to consider, with their daughters, future possible option choices in art and technology, to see the facilities of the departments and meet with specialist staff.”
Displays also informed pupils of the wide-ranging and exciting career opportunities and detailed previous students’ success pathways.
