“I spoke to people at school and apparently it moved came down from the Tydd area toward Long Sutton, passing down Roman Bank and causing damage to property and moved a trampoline in someone’s garden!
“There have been a number of sirens heard in the area since, including fire engines and an ambulance heading to the scene at about 3.30pm.”
A Lutton resident said: “Wow – it must have been so sudden and localised.
“I came home from Spalding at a little after 3pm and, although it was raining heavily, there was no wind,
“When I picked my daughter up from school at 3.30pm it was wet but still and sunny.”
Minutes later the town was still and bathed in sunshine as this summer’s unpredictable weather continued.
