Images of Spalding police’s ‘most wanted’ suspected criminals have been released.
They may not have committed murder, but the public’s help in capturing them now will play a vital part in keeping the town safe in the challenging times ahead.
The local police have issued these CCTV images of people wanted in connection with crimes committed in the area over the past few months.
Many are images of people captured on camera when clothes or food were stolen.
One features a man wanted for theft from Londis in Holbeach Road, Spalding. He dropped the items when a member of staff chased him, but attacked a member of the public while fleeing the scene.
Insp Chris Davison said: “Many of these may seem like petty crimes, but the cost of policing hours used in solving them can be eye-opening, from the initial call, to the enquiries made as a result of it, and further enquiries from the leads we get. Even the smallest offence can involve multiple police hours.
“Help from the public will be vital in the months to come. It is well-known Lincolnshire has the worst-funded police authority in the country and there are further challenges to come.
“All of our best successes have been when the police and public work together. In the future, the public’s help will be vital in helping us work more efficiently.
“We urge anyone who recognises any of these individuals to contact Lincolnshire Police in confidence.”
