A CLASSIC Chevrolet Corvette Stingray was among the “awesome” cars which took pupils to a special school leavers’ party.
As has become tradition at Spalding’s Monkshouse School, parents arranged the special transport to take their children to a Laser Storm session and disco organised by staff to mark the end of their time at the Pennygate school.
Mum Susan Woolsey, who arranged for her son Thomas and his best friend Russell Newell to ride in the Stingray, said: “They were really excited about it and I think the words awesome and epic were used to describe the car.”
Both boys will be heading off to Spalding’s Sir John Gleed School in September.
