Hundreds of people ignored the showers to enjoy this year’s Music in the Park in Holbeach on Sunday.
Carter’s Park once again rocked to the sounds of local bands, including Remains of the Day, No Danger, Bad to the Bone and tribute band Notley Crew to raise money for charities in and around the town.
There were also solo performances from Meg McPartlin, Phoebe Mullard and Callum Forman to entertain youngsters and adults.
Families were catered for with a range of attractions, such as go kart racing, putting greens, an inflatable slide and fairground rides.
Music in the Park is now in its 12th year, having been originally set up to raise money for Holbeach United Football Club, and money raised at this year’s event is expected to benefit several local charities.
Event organiser Elliot Watson said: “We had a great time, even though the weather was a bit hit and miss all day.
“There were about 1,100 people who came, from kids to older people, and they were absolutely fantastic.
“Some were hardcore regulars who come every year, but we also had a lot of people from out of town.
“Every style of music was represented, including accoustic solo artists, live DJs and rock bands.”
Elliot praised a number of people who helped with the event, including Dave Dougall and John Spencer from Holbeach United Football Club and Dean Fitchett who was involved in last year’s Keep Music Live Festival.
“If it wasn’t for them, Music in the Park wouldn’t have happened,” Elliot said.
“Just to see everyone enjoying themselves made all the hard work worthwhile,” he added.
