BREAKING NEWS UPDATE:Two-car collision on Crowland bypass

TUESDAY, AUGUST 7, 3.15PM THE teenage girl hurt in a two-car collision in Crowland yesterday is still in a serious but stable condition in hospital

A grey Skoda Octavia, containing a driver and two passengers from Surrey, collided with an Audi A3 on the A1073 Postland Road at about 12.30pm on Monday.

Firemen used hydraulic cutting equipment to free a 17-year-old girl passenger in the Skoda before she was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge with head injuries.

A 51-year-old woman who was driving the Skoda and a ten-year-old boy passenger were taken to Peterborough District Hospital, along with a 41-year-old woman passenger in the Audi.

All three were treated for minor injuries and have now been released.

Fire crews from Spalding and Market Deeping were at the scene for about 90 minutes while the road was cleared.

• MONDAY, AUGUST 6 5PM -A 17-YEAR-OLD girl is in a serious but stable condition in hospital after a two-vehicle collision in Crowland.

The accident happened on the A16 bypass where a grey Skoda Octavia was in collision with an Audi A31 at about 12.30pm.

Fire crews used cutting equipment to release the teenager from the Skoda before she was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge with head injuries.

The driver, a 51-year-old woman, and a ten-year-old boy from Surrey were treated for minor injuries at the scene while the driver of the Audi, a 37-year-old man, was taken to Peterborough District Hospital for further treatement.

Meanwhile, a 41-year-old female passenger in the Audi was treated at the scene.

The road was closed for about two hours to allow fire crews from Spalding and Market Deeping to clear the area.
