PRACTICAL workshops on subjects such as herbicides, slugs, soils and water were held at QV Foods at Holbeach Hurn on East Midlands Potato Day.
The event was attended by Potato Council director Rob Clayton and restaurant critic Jay Rayner, who spoke about the relationship between supermarkets and their suppliers.
Delegates were able to speak directly to researchers about specific issues during the workshops and hear about the latest developments on soil cultivations, water use efficiency and best practice for slug control.
The event was organised by the Potato Council, QV Foods and McCain Foods.
