SUTTON Bridge Parish Council is being urged to air its views about the possible closure of Spalding Ambulance Station and others in the East Midlands.
East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) is bidding to cut 999 response times by closing most ambulance stations in the region and replacing them with 13 hubs.
But there are fears this will lead to a poorer rather than better service.
Coun Chris Brewis, who sits on the county health scrutiny committee, told fellow Sutton Bridge councillors that siting ambulances around the county may sound a good idea– but vehicles would have to be cleaned before re-use and return to their base each time at Sutterton/Algarkirk.
