A man breached a non-molestation court order when he contacted his former partner on Facebook.
Andrew Still (22), of Chestnut Terrace, Sutton Bridge, was banned from contacting Claire Brine, who now lives in Cornwall, unless through solicitors.
But he began messaging her on Facebook to sort things out.
Jim Clare, prosecuting, said Ms Brine had replied but wanted the contact to stop.
He said none of Still’s messages appeared threatening.
Still was conditionally discharged for six months and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge when he appeared at Spalding Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
Solicitor Carrie Simson, mitigating, said Still was aware of the order but believed his ex-partner had posted messages through friends that she “wanted to sort things out with him”.
Mrs Simson said there were 12 pages of messages, which showed Ms Brine had entered into a conversation with him and the correspondence wasn’t all one way.
